Dear Friends in Christ,
I hope that your Labor Day Holiday weekend has been safe and fun, and full of God's love.
Yesterday we heard a sermon about the many opportunities presented to us to show mercy and hope. I enjoy those particular healing stories from Mark 7. I especially like that part where Jesus gets a very sound argument from the Syrophoenician Woman for why he should show mercy to the Gentiles! I have wondered whether Jesus knew this would happen, or if He was surprised. The text doesn't tell us, so we are left to wonder.
Home Communion Visits: Tomorrow and Thursday, I will be bringing communion around to folks who could not come to church yesterday. If you desire this, please call/text me at 575-708-0860. If those days do not work for you, we will find a different day/time.

This week:
Today (after this e-mail) - I take a Sabbath (God did, and so should we all)
This evening - Green Chile Gals are meeting at church for a little supper and fellowship! Please come on down this evening around 5:30/6:00PM.
Today, Wednesday and Friday: 10AM Exercise, Eat and Pray
Tuesday: Yoga in Fellowship Hall at noon
Saturday: 11:00AM PW Business Meeting
Sunday: Worship! Session Meets afterwards.
I am still fiddling with the best possible schedule for office hours. Because of Home Communion visits, I will be in and out on Tuesday and Thursday this week. In general, I have been there T-F 9:30-noon or 1PM.
It looks like another full week ahead! May today be a day of relaxation and recreation for you all.
Remember what I said yesterday from Voltaire: "Present opportunities are not to be neglected; they rarely visit us twice." Seems like a good idea to me. May God bless you and keep you today and always.
Love,
Rev. Amy
