I am sure that you feel a little strange, as I do, having not met in church for a while now. It has been more than one month. In fact it was March 22nd since we met for worship. It has been hard for us all to adjust to keeping distance between us. I have tried to find comics or jokes to share with you, but haven't seen many that really make me laugh! If you have something to share, please feel free to pass it along to the rest of us!
I am available to call, if you need a prayer by phone, I will pray with you.

It is about to be May 3rd, the first Sunday of the month. That means, Holy Communion is also scheduled for that Sunday. I would like to say that we can do that at the church, but we have not yet received this week's announcement from the New Mexico Department of Health. The governor's order ends April 30th, but I have suspicions that they are going to extend this a little longer. And, even if there is church, many people may choose to stay home. Therefore, I will be talking with our Elders about doing another online communion service and what that would entail.
Ordinarily, this was the weekend that PW would be holding our Spring Rummage Sale. We would be busy cleaning things and setting them out on tables, having Sue Morgan appraise items. It certainly feels weird. Do you have any great memories of Rummage Sales gone past? (I do believe I remember Kayla Cherry trying on a wedding dress) Have any good photos of church stuff you'd like to send me?
Speaking of Kayla Cherry, she will be graduating soon after completing studies at UNM for respiratory technology. (Hope I got that correct!) Messages to Kayla may be mailed c/o her mom, Robin Cherry, at PO Box 1201, Tucumcari, NM 88401.
Please remember to pray for our small businesses and the people who are suffering from having to stay home.
I hope that you are holding up okay as we have to stay home. I am open to any ideas that you have which could help us feel united as we also practice distance.
God be with you till we meet again.
Many hugs,
Amy
