Grace and Peace be with you, Friends!
I hope that you all have had a good week off from seeing little old me around the church. Just kidding. Thank you for sending me to the Biblical preaching workshop at Ghost Ranch this past week, where we spent about 6 hours a day studying some very challenging Scriptures and thinking about how we would preach about them. Our teacher was Rev. Dr. Anna Carter Florence, from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. It was quite possibly the best program I have ever attended from the Synod of the Southwest. I look forward to practicing the techniques from that class!
Let's get something out of the way right now - the Session has paid to reserve a booth space for our church at the Quay County Fair. Now we need to have a small team of volunteers to help me brainstorm. I hope that we can meet after church, this Sunday, April 5th to talk about my ideas and make plans. Bring a sack lunch!
This week is a big week - Rattler Reunion is coming! It's also Communion Sunday.
