It is so exciting to see our community get dressed up for fall - with pumpkins and colorful decorations. I think fall may be my favorite time of year!
I will be tied up this week Tuesday-Thursday afternoons/evenings, from about 1:30pm-9:00PM to attend an online conference with Presbyterian Older Adult Ministry Network. They appear to have a load of interesting learning opportunities. If you would like to see the schedule, here is a link to it. Scroll to the bottom of that page for the specific tentative schedule of what I will be learning about. This will help satisfy 3 days of Continuing Education requirements (and only cost $75!).

There are some fun events coming up this Saturday night with Trunk or Treating downtown and some fun events at the Historical Museum. Here is a link to what's going on in observance of Halloween. https://www.qcsunonline.com/story/2021/10/20/news/calendar-oct-20/22932.html
This week at First Presbyterian Church:
Today, Wednesday and Friday from 10-11:30-ish Exercise, Eat and Pray
Today - pastor takes a Sabbath starting... as soon as I send this email :)
Tuesday at noon Yoga - if everyone is up for a little "down dog" (that's a yoga joke)
Sunday - Halloween Sunday (that just doesn't sound right, does it?) More importantly, it is Reformation Day!
Monday, November 1 - All Saints Day
Looking ahead, please don't forget that NEXT WEEK we fall back an hour, so Saturday, November 6 change your clocks! I often get nervous about whether I'll be too late or too early for church.
As we head into a fun time of year, please remember the folks on our prayer list. Many of them are having a tough time. I think with the state of our world today, times are doubly-tough.
We had several people out of church yesterday, who have told me that they are trying to stay safe from COVID. These are folks with special health concerns or who work with people who have special health concerns.
I hope that your week ahead is great! Please forward to me or call me with your prayer requests or requests for visitation. And, even though I am enrolled in a class this week, I will be in town and available if you need me in an emergency situation. All of the classes are being recorded.
God bless you and keep you today and always.
Hugs,
Rev Amy
