What a kick off to the week! Following a joyous reunion at Sunday worship with the Mikows, Mickey's friends, Pat and Gene (from Illinois), Mike Page's family, and Becky and Wendy (of the Huffman clan), we had a lovely Monday service remembering and giving thanks for Mickey Page's life.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Barbara and Robin Cherry, Julie Sursa, Olivia Burke, Marj McKenzie and all the others who helped make a spectacular reception for Mickey's service, and who helped clean up. Many thanks to those who played the bells and to Betty Ragan for playing the hymns for us. And, thank you to Becky Lenig, who selected a beautiful piece for the bell choir to play and directed them!
It's been a busy week already for your pastor, friends. She's going to lay low this Tuesday.
But, we will still have yoga! Hope to see you there at noon.

The story of Jesus' transfiguration on the mountain, along with the appearance of prophets Elijah and Moses. Some say this is a story not meant for us to explain, but savored. Perhaps they're right. What do you think?
Last but not least, please remember to hold the following folks in prayer;
Troy Brake
Eloy Martinez
Dr. John and Cheryl Faith
Jenna Morris (in college now!)
Mickey Page's family
Our church's search for a pianist or organist
Kevin Mueller (recuperating)
Gonie Lopez (cancer)
Junior Martinez (leg amputation, now on hospice in Amarillo)
Dr. Jean Corey (still dealing with cleanup of the old clinic)
Amber Varsallona's nephew (sick)
There are so many other prayers. Please note that Sharon Huffman is now the new "root" of the prayer grapevine. Following Mickey's death, we will revise the grapevine and distribute it soon.
God be with you till we meet again.
