Greetings, Friends!
If you are one of the lucky ones, you might have this day off from work. Whether hard at work or off playing today, I hope you are finding a moment of peace and reflection.
We had 15 people in church yesterday. We sang extra music. Special thanks to Marjorie McKenzie who had to get in some extra practice time for worship.

Thank you to the Deacons for the birthday card and to those who wished me a happy birthday. It has been an anticlimactic birthday, turning 50 and with all the other stuff that has happened these last few months. But thank you for thinking of me.
Our Deacons have been doing a lovely job working together. Thanks to all of them for watching over us!
Home communion visits this week: If you or someone you know would like communion brought to your home, I am available this week. Please call or text me at my number below.
This Sunday I plan to start a new series of "Time out for Teaching" moments. I am thinking doing a summer series and calling it "Great Moments in Heresy." Heresy plays a very important role in the evolution of theology, and the formation of the doctrines we so often take for granted today. It's a fascinating topic and understanding what is not "orthodox" helps us appreciate all the more why doctrine matters. I think we will have some fun with it.
We got a little bit of rain here last night! I hope it rained on you too.
Many hugs,
Rev. Amy
