The Lord be with you, Friends!
Hope that all is well with you.  And, that your Mothers' Day was a blessed day.

We had quite a busy past couple of weeks, between Rummage Sale cleanup, and then the blessed goodbyes to our sister in Christ, Marie Sims.  Thank YOU to all who have been able to pitch in and make it all happen.  You have the power of the Holy Spirit within you to do God's work.  You are the hands of Christ.

There are a few containers of food in the kitchen fridge which appear unclaimed.  Please check whether you those are yours.  Thank you!

We had our first New Member orientation class this past Saturday morning from 10AM-Noon.  I will offer that again on the 2nd Saturday of the month of June (June 8th). If you want to come, please RSVP to my number and we'll have a conversation about the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Today:
YOGA will be at 12:30 and not Noon today in Fellowship Hall.
Session meets tonight at 5:30PM in the Church Library.  An agenda is going out in a separate email.
A lighter schedule for us than usual!

This Friday night there is an Open Mic Night at the Gallery, Etc. located on 2nd and Center Street.  You can sign up to perform your special talents (singing, storytelling, whatever!) by calling 461-9908.  It is going to be lots of fun!  It is a fundraiser for the Gallery to cover operating costs. (Ps, they have a piano, untuned)

Prayers:
Richard Randals - continuing to heal post-op
Ruth Johnson - health problems
Marie Sims' family in their loss (including us!)
Those discerning their call to serve God in new ways (like join the church, or church leadership)
Our city and city leaders
For a unified nation
Teresa Gallegos' sister, Gloria - healing from surgery
Travelers
Graduating Seniors
Teachers!!

Last week, May 7th, was National Teachers' Day.  Thank you to all teachers.  I wouldn't be the person I am today without the teachers I have had.  You are the ones who shape tomorrow with what you do today.  This is something God does for us, who is our Great and Heavenly Potter.  Thank you to all who teach for you are following God's call and living into God's image!

Have a blessed and joyful day, all of you!
Love,
Rev. Amy
