Rummage Sale Drop Off Days are coming!Got stuff? Our past Rummage Sales are sometimes "more rummage" than "sale." So, to make it easier on all of us, we will be holding a two-day event August 25-26, when you may bring by your donations and we will be there to receive your gifts. As always, the Presbyterian Women are grateful for the donations we've received in the past! Doors will open about 8:00AM on Donation Days. Movie Night THIS FRIDAY, July 28th 6:00PM :PMovie starts at 6:00PM. There will be popcorn and root beer. However, everyone is encouraged to bring your favorite treat. Did we say "Everyone?" Grace and Peace, Friends! The last two Tuesdays I have been out of town (a total of 10 days) visiting my family in Virginia. It was a wonderful chance to see about 12 different family members, including my parents, brother and his family. 5 of these family members recently moved there from the Houston area, so it was twice as nice as usual! Even though I was there for worship this past Sunday (sermon attached), I am still a bit under the weather, as I returned home to New Mexico with a cold. It's still hanging on today, 1/2 a box of Kleenex later. So, I am off to a slow start. I'll be working from the manse today, so if you need to call me, feel free to do so. This week: Wednesday 9:00AM - Exercise, Eat and Pray Wednesday noon - Dutch Treat Dames meet at the Cornerstone Deli Thursday - 7:30AM I'll be at the Radio Station to talk about our Rummage Sale Drop Off Days (August 25-26) Listen in on KQAY 92.7 and then KTNM 1400 Friday 9-? I will be in the office with Sharon Creative People Unite! You know who you are :) Less than 1 month away is the Quay County Fair and we need your help to plan a booth display! You can talk to Julie Sursa ([email protected]) or Kenna McKenzie ([email protected]) for details. The booth theme hasn't been officially selected, but I have a few ideas. I'll be reaching out to a few of you for your thoughts. (I have an idea for a theme) Men's Breakfast August 5th 8:00AM - Men of Tucumcari are invited for the 3rd Men's Breakfast on Saturday, August 5th. It's free. You don't have to be a church member to attend. If you belong to a different church, you are more than welcome! Please share this announcement with men you know in our community. So there's enough food for all, please contact Dave Goldston at 403-7910 and let him know you're coming! Prayers Needed! Steve Morgan (an occasional visitor to our church) hospitalized with an infection - Steve was the one who gave us the Health Talks on Medicare and the Affordable Care Act last fall Felice Cepeda - battling cancer - niece of Eric Rivera's Travelers Francis ("Frank") - injured after a fall (Ryan's grandfather) Dr. Corey's daughter-in-law - loss of father Julie Sursa's brother (cancer) and mother (rehab from fall) Family and friends of Angie Garcia - grieving still Sharon Huffman - still in pain - awaiting neurosurgeon consult Please also pray for our nation's leaders and the leaders of the world for holy wisdom and compassion There may be other prayers that I unintentionally omitted. Please let me know what your requests are by responding to this email. Thank you! Friends, I do hope that your week is off to a wonderful start. Be blessed. Much love, Pastor Amy |
