Dear Friends of Christ:
Sorry to be a day later than usual getting out a weekly love letter to you. It's been a different sort of week.
Thanks to those who have expressed prayers of concern and inquired about how we can be of help and support to Lou and Marie. Marie and I are going to talk about this when they get back from Albuquerque in the coming days. Until I get more information from them, please hold them in prayer. They are spending some quality time with family for the rest of the week.
Fortunately, Lou is trying to keep in good spirits and it helps that they are surrounded with love.
Wednesday-
Today at noon, the Dutch Treat Dames meet at the Cornerstone Deli. It's come and go as you need, for those who have to return to work.
Friday -
The church will be open at 9:00AM until about 10:30 or so for those who would like to work through Rummage Sale items. There still needs to be some organization done, particularly the electronics, linens and any late arrivals.
Also on Friday Betty Ragan and I head for Las Cruces for the April Presbytery Meeting. We come back Saturday evening.
Saturday -
9:00AM there is a neat opportunity to get out in the Community down by the Train Depot. A new walking trail will be inaugurated this Saturday. (see below.) Who says there's nothing to do around Tucumcari?
Sunday -
9:30AM is Sunday School, studying the Lectionary Readings we hear preached about in church. Worship is at 11:00AM.
Coming Up Next Month...
Don't forget, the Rummage Sale runs May 6-7th from 9AM-3PM.
May 7th the men of the church gather at Kix at 10:00AM for an organizational meeting. If you absolutely cannot make it, please forward comments and ideas to me or to Tom Miller [email protected] or at 575-708-9016.
Guess what? Community Health Talks come back on Saturday, May 14th, with a speaker on Pulmonary Health. That's at 10:00AM.
Ruling Elder Sharon Huffman will be our preacher and worship leader on Sunday, May 15th (as I return home from a training in AZ)
