It has been two weeks since you have received an e-letter from the church. I apologize for being so out of pocket with many comings and goings. It seems that October has been a month of coming and going. I may have one more trip next month to complete my required 2 week continuing education for 2015, which may simply be a couple of nights away for study and preparation for Advent and Christmas.
If you missed Sunday, then you missed a time of worship and community, as we thought a little bit together about how life can turn us into scary dragons (see the attached sermon and bulletin). And only God can help us repent of our brokenness and help us shed that dragon suit. The good news is, God wants to help!
This week as we wind down the month of October, remember we have a community Halloween Party! So it doesn't conflict with Actual Halloween, nor with Tucumcari sports, it is this Thursday in Fellowship Hall at 6:00PM. Bring some fun "finger foods" to share. Don't forget to bring a friend and wear a costume too.
Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are ready and waiting for you to fill them up! Since I got conflicting due dates I am still trying to get the correct information from someone and will let you know as soon as I do. For more information on what goes into these shoeboxes, you can go to this site: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/pack-a-shoe-box/
I believe it's November 8th, but I'll let you all know...
