Many of our Missions receive donations. These can be brought to the Sanctuary on Sundays. Please call us at 461-0291 to make special arrangements for your donations.
Rt. 66 Hospitality Project: Help us help the hungry, stranded travelers along the Rt. 66 corridor, and we can show them the same hospitality that Jesus first showed us. Next time you go to the store, pick up some food to add to our shelves, or you can make a monetary donation to our "Hunger Fund." We accept individually-sized: crackers, tuna salad kits, granola bars, fruit or pudding cups, Vienna Sausages, SPAM, juice boxes, paper sacks and plastic ware.
Ministry of H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Prosper Eternally): Ministry of H.O.P.E. is a "free store," open two days a week. Our congregation donates to their pantry non-perishable items. They are located downtown next to the Train Depot Museum. A collection box is in the narthex of our sanctuary. Following each Rummage Sale, the Presbyterian Women donate the unsold clothes and toys.
Rummage Sale: First Fridays and Saturdays in May and October the Presbyterian Women hold a Rummage Sale in Fellowship Hall. You can donate your used items by calling 461-0291. You are invited to help out. We can find a job for you! We need help moving tables, moving and unpacking boxes, folding and/or hanging clothes. We also need your help during the sale, straightening up displays and receiving monies. After the sale, we need your help packing up the extras and delivering them to Ministry of H.O.P.E. It's always fun when we all do it together!
Kiva - Green Chile Gals Team: The Green Chile Gals is our youngish womens' fellowship that meets meets monthly for dinner. Growing out of this fellowship is a ministry that provides microloans to small business entrepreneurs in poverty-stricken areas, thanks to Elder Kenna McKenzie, who started us off in 2009. Click here to join and contribute to the effort!
Chemo Caps for Clovis: Our Tanglers group love to make things, especially hats and bags. We knit or crochet "Chemo Caps" for patients of the Plains Regional Cancer Center in Clovis. The "chemo cap" is a quick and easy project for a beginner. These caps are part of our tithe. For a simple knitting pattern click here. Send the church an email for more information at [email protected].
Tucumcari Domestic Violence Program: Picture yourself in your own home, except that you are constantly afraid for your own safety and the safety of your children. And when you are ready to make your escape, you find you don't have enough money for gas, bus tickets, or a deposit on a lease. The Tucumcari Domestic Violence Program sends their clients to us for emergency financial help so victims can get a fresh start on freedom. Additionally, we are a collection point for gently-used purses/handbags, which we fill with necessities to survive away from home for a couple of nights. Send us those purses you never use to our Go! Bags ministry. There's a collection basket in the sanctuary Narthex, as well as down at the KTNM/KQAY radio station. Below is their location.

Children: We are working on making our worship more kid-friendly, which takes some time. We are also presently seeking a volunteer to help us with child care and children's church. If you seek worship resources following the Revised Common Lectionary Readings, this one here is highly-recommended: Worshiping With Children.
Medical Equipment: We receive donations of durable medical equipment (shower chairs, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) and loan them out to those who cannot afford them.
Worship Leadership: Worship is the beginning and end of every week. It heals our hearts after a week of work, and prepares us anew for another week of discipleship. We can always use your help in reading the Word of God, giving your own testimony of faith, leading us in prayer, and participating in our talented music ministry.
Music Ministry: Music is a form of prayer. Join the Jubilee Ringers Bell Choir, the "Sometime Singers," or contribute your own unique musical talents to the glory of God. We also welcome visiting music groups to share their talents in worship. Each Christmastime we participate in the Christmas Cantata alongside our fellow Christian friends at Center Street United Methodist Church!
Tabs for Ronald McDonald House: For several years we have been collecting and shipping the tabs that you pull off of your aluminum cans. These tabs are shipped to Ronald McDonald House in Amarillo, turned into cash and used to support their hospitality for the families of pediatric patients. You can bring your tabs to the drop box in the sanctuary narthex.
Wellness Fair Prayer Table: We have hosted a prayer table for the last two Quay County Health and Wellness Fairs. We provide literature on prayer, and pray with whomever requests it. It is a way to remind people that prayer is a way to spiritual, emotional and - yes - physical health.
Quay County Fair: For the last four years we have had a booth at the Quay County Fair each August, to reach out to the community. In 2015, we raised over $150 in funds selling homemade cookies, jellies, and cookbooks. We hope to keep it up! Are you a creative person? Enjoy talking to people, offering to pray for them? Our annual fair booth is a way to celebrate our diverse talents and share our gifts with everyone who visit our booth.
Tanglers Fellowship: The Tanglers meet when then get inspired with new ministry projects. We knit, crochet, tat and chat as we work. At present, we have been looking for a new day and time to meet. Please send us an email for more information, and we'll "hook" you up.
Box Tops for Education: We also have a collection box in the narthex, to collect box tops and soup labels for area schools. Clip and save them then bring them on Sundays!
Lastly, make a gift to our church. Clicking the blue button above takes you to the Presbyterian Mission Agency, who assists us with online offerings to our church's funds. The gift is free to the church. You will be charged a small transaction fee and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) fee for your donation, which is minimal compared to most online giving sites available today. There you may designate the purpose of your gift: memorial gift (in whose name), building funds, or church general account.
Better yet, visit us on Sundays at 11:00am and worship the Living God with us!
