Greetings to all in the name of Jesus!
Did you see a little bit of that snow last night? It was very late last night. Just a little bit came down.
I hope that your week is off to a good start. We had a lovely church service yesterday. A couple of people told me that the "sermon was good, but the hymns were just wonderful." Hymns are like little sermons unto themselves. I have attached the sermon below.
I enjoyed getting your feedback during the Time out for Teaching, as we thought about the "quarrelsome" nature of the Israelites in the wilderness. We also enjoyed 3 visitors to our church: Jerry Partin (for his 4th time attending), Debby Usher (first time, newly moved back to Tucumcari) and Catherine Dominguez-Rutherford (first time, lives next door to our church :) Great job, everyone for welcoming them!
Announcements:
Susie Martinez recently had a car accident and is now without a car, and is trying to find an affordable, reliable replacement. Anyone who knows where she could get a vehicle, please call her. 575-815-8195
Jerry Partin is seeking a room for rent. He could also be a live-in helper to someone and has said he can cook and clean for them. Please seek him out on Sunday next week. He's the one with the rattlesnake cowboy hat.
This Week:
Today, Wednesday and Friday: Exercise, Eat and Pray at 10:00AM in the church. Come on down!
Tomorrow, Tuesday at noon: Yoga! Bring a mat of your own.
Sunday: Communion Sunday. It is World Communion Sunday, so if you have a colorful textile or tablecloth, show it off by bringing it to church and we'll use it to decorate the communion table. After church, there will be a Session meeting in Fellowship Hall.
Prayers:
Tom Anderson - is home and getting set up on hospice. Please continue praying for his comfort and peace. Please pray also for Jean.
Catherine is grieving the loss of her 18 year old dog, Jellybean
Teresa Gallegos is grieving the loss of her dog, Baby Girl
Brianna - granddaughter of the Schusters, awaiting the news of whether she is COVID positive

For those who are struggling with isolation and anxiety during "Coronatide"
Travelers
We had a few folks out of church because of various things, but we had 18 people yesterday in spite of that! Way to turn out, my friends in Christ.
I have a few visits lined up this week. If you would like a visit from me, please call and let me know! I will find time for you. May your week go great, filled with God's power and grace.
Many hugs,
Rev. Amy
