Hope you are planning to come to worship on Thursday evening! Don't forget that the special music begins at 6:30PM and then a full worship service starts at 7:00PM. Our musicians have been practicing hard and have a lot to offer.
Last Sunday we received Theresa and David Goldston in our membership. Thank you, Jesus!
We had so much fun this past week, there isn't enough space to describe it all here: Christmas Cantata, Bell and Singing practices, White Elephant Party, Potluck and more.
Wish Lou Sims a Happy Birthday this week. He is almost a Christmas Baby - Dec 24th!
Also, please plan on attending church on Sunday. It will be a "low Sunday," with more music and joy of the Christmas Season. Keep in mind our process of notification should the weather become impassable:
- Amy and the Elders will be watching the weather and forecasts. You can see what they're predicting here. She might even attempt to drive to church to test the roads.
- Amy will call the Elders between 8:30AM and 9:00AM. We will then contact church members to inform them if services are cancelled. If you don't hear from anyone, services will go on. You DO NOT need to come if you feel unsafe driving.
- Notices will also be posted to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/1stPresbyterianTucumcari.
Hold in Prayer:
Ed Goodell - Kay Hart's dad, who is seeking residential care, as he suffers with cancer. Fortunately he has been somewhat stabilized since he was put in the hospital.
Frances Agnew - Amber Varsallona's aunt, whom they will be visiting this Christmas. She is very sick.
Laura - Granddaughter to Marge C. McKenzie - healing broken bones and much more since her car accident.
Family of Pat Montano as they grieve for him. Pat was a relative of Lucille Andrada.
Anna Randals - expecting her first child around Jan 7th.
Eric Rivera's sister in law Cheryl and cousin Phillip, each suffering with cancer.
For holiday travelers that they experience traveling mercies.
For our new members, Theresa and David Goldston - prayers to nurture them and prayers of thanksgiving!
For our church, as we continue to navigate changes, and many of them joyful!
For the Blue Swallow Motel, that they find good housekeeping services.
May you be well this season of joy, as we celebrate the Incarnation of God's Word in Jesus Christ our Savior!
Love,
Pastor Amy
