The Lord be with You, Friends.
I am pleased to report that this past Sunday was a day of rejoicing as a church, as well as a day when we have been reminded of our joyful responsibilities.
We are very lucky that 6 people have accepted the call to serve in ordained positions:
David Goldston (a 2nd term as Elder)
Anna Lee Schuster (a 2nd term as Deacon)
New Deacons: Lavone Bond and Linda Sims-Randals
New Elders: Dr. Jean Corey-Anderson and Elmer Schuster
I will be talking to each of our new folks about a Sunday when we can ordain and install you - hopefully within 1-2 weeks.
Thank you for agreeing to serve!
You have also elected to renew my covenant with you for 2020. Thank you for your vote of confidence. It's time to get to work.
Prayer Requests:
Tom Anderson
Lucy Jasper (Susie's relative) - not doing well
Kevin Bond - pinched nerve, awaiting MRI
Orville Fink - (classmate of Elmer's) on hospice
Konnor - still healing from concussion (sports injury)
Adrian Jones (friend of Anna Zamora's) - car accident
Ruth Johnson - continued health concerns
Sharon Huffman - general health
Levi Mericle - Thyroid cancer
Misty Tompkins - stiff person syndrome

Lent Begins Next Month: Please take note that Lent begins in about 1 month. On Ash Wednesday, I would like to go somewhere public and dispense ashes once more. The last three years: I have done it at the donut shop, the library and last year in front of our church. If you have thoughts on this, or would like to help, please let me know!
Additionally, I would like to begin a study of 1 Corinthians on Wednesday evenings, March 4th, probably 6:00PM. We will just read out loud this book each week at our own pace. This is open to the public, anyone interested is welcome.
This Week:
Yoga today at noon in Fellowship Hall!
Mon-Wed-Fri at 10:00AM Exercise, Eat and Pray
Friends, this Sunday is Holy Communion Sunday. According to my info, it looks like Deacon Marjorie McKenzie is the Communion Deacon this month. Let us prepare our hearts to receive the gift of communion.
And as you go about this week, please do so with prayer and gratitude, assured of our Lord's care for us.
Make the most of your week!
Love,
Rev. Amy
