Today we have a 40% chance of rain and a 70% chance tomorrow! Let's pray for the best!
This past weekend was rich. The kids from KU (Univ. of Kansas) came back through on their way home from their Alternative Spring Break service project. They were enthused by the experience of traveling to Anthony, NM to work in a women's career development center. All but one of the group had never been to New Mexico before so it was fun to tell them about Tucumcari and our unique history and culture. Thanks to Dorothy Randals for donating to the church one of her copies of Lucy Nials' book on the history of St. Anne's Church, for the kids enjoyed flipping through it during their visit. (this book is now a treasured part of the church library)
Saturday morning we also had about 20 people turn out for Sheryl Gambardella's presentation on probiotics and she even demonstrated how to make kombucha and sauerkraut. Thanks, Linda, for getting that set up!
A few things to put on your calendar...
Yoga today at noon: Our yoga class is scheduled to meet today at noon. Hope to see some of you there!
Lenten Bible Study Friday at 5:30PM: Don't forget you're invited to the Friday night Bible study and soup supper in Fellowship Hall. It's not too late to join in the journey. We will start on chapter 10, this Friday at 5:30PM.
Communion Sunday, April 2: Dr. Jean Corey-Anderson is our hosting Deacon for the 5th Sunday in Lent.
Green Chile Gals meet on Monday, April 3rd (I believe): I'm curious to know if someone has volunteered to be a hostess, since I missed last month.
PW Meeting on Saturday, April 8th/noon potluck: Your PW Officers for 2017 are Julie Sursa (Moderator), AnnaLee Schuster (Vice-Moderator), Kenna McKenzie-Young (Treasurer) and Sharon Huffman (Secretary). We will be planning for the Rummage Sale, discussing the PW Gathering on May 13th and thinking about other things we could help out with round the church and community.
Sunday, April 9: Palm Sunday (hard to believe Easter is around the corner!)
Thursday, April 13th Maundy Thursday service at 6:00PM with communion by intinction
Sunday, April 16 Easter Sunday and Potluck day!
That's enough for now. There are a few other things going on in April. Don't forget to visit http://1stpreschurchtuc.weebly.com/calendar-of-events.html for more information.

Much love and hugs,
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
