I hope that you all have had a blessed weekend. Labor Day weekend is just around the corner. So is Holy Communion Sunday, which will be this Sunday, September 6th.
Here are prayer requests that have been raised in the last couple of days:
RAIN
Prayers for those amidst hurricanes (SE) and forest fires (west)
For Becky and Carol - thanksgiving that they are COVID negative
Wayne and Sharon Huffman - thanksgiving for their years of marriage
For Wayne, who has been diagnosed with CHF
Sonia - heart murmur, please pray that it can be repaired/treated
Susie - getting second opinion on nerve damage in foot, needs treatment for eye
Pat Sieglen - successfully received a hip replacement; currently waiting for a bed in rehab
Thanksgiving for the Bonds' grandson being back on US soil
Diane - COPD
Tom Anderson - not doing very well, in a lot of pain
Glenda Coles
Thanks be to God for what rain we received the other night! When you get rain, what do you usually do? Talk to your friends? Take photos? Do a happy Rain Dance?
Regarding our brother, Tom Anderson, he has been extremely run down this week and in a good deal of pain. Please hold him, as well as Jean, in your prayers. Shower him with cards and/or call them.
Church lockdown continues... The 60 day lockdown will expire on Monday, September 7th.
Friends, yesterday's sermon was to remind us that God has much higher standards for us, so that we shine the light of Christ through our everyday lives. I hope that this week no matter what you're doing, you shine His light. Be blessed this week!
Many hugs,
Rev. Amy
