The Lord be with you!
Hope that you weathered our first taste of cooler temperatures! We had an intimate service of worship this past Sunday and it warmed my heart to see your faces there!
We had a few prayer requests lifted up:
Dorothy Randals' brother, whom she is going to visit, recently had surgery. She thanked God for his progress and we prayed for his continued recovery
Linda's brother, recovering after heart trouble
Prayers for those who are traveling
For those looking for jobs
For those who grieve
The East Coast
Glenda - shoulder problems
Susie and Ray health problems
Your Traveling Pastor. Folks, I will be traveling to Albuquerque this week to begin service as a commissioner to the Synod of the Southwest. If things go as expected, the Synod might also vote for me to be their next Moderator. I look forward to letting you know what that means and how it affects our lives here in Tucumcari.
Operation Christmas Child is officially underway! You can use your own shoebox or pick one up at our church on Sunday, along with a boy or girl label. Your shoeboxes need to be back in our church on Veterans' Day, Sunday, November 11th, in order that we can get them turned in on time.
Christmas Cantata Practices are also underway! Practices are at 7:00PM at Center Street UMC, until Harold starts telling us otherwise. We still could use some lower voices!
Potluck Sunday, Sunday, October 21st. (yes, that's this Sunday) is the next Potluck Fellowship Dinner. Bring a friend!
Saturday, October 27th Halloween Party! We're having an early evening party. Bring: Yourself in a costume, a spooky or non-spooky treat to share! The time will be announced shortly, but expect around 5:30 or 6:00PM at Fellowship Hall.
Hope that you have room on your calendar for all the excitement! Remember wherever you go, you go with my prayers. Be a blessing to others.
Pastor Amy
