Greetings! I hope that you're enjoying this mild and cloudy Monday. How refreshing it is out there to go for a little walk in the neighborhood.

Amy (Glenna Gray’s daughter) chronic medical issues
Betty (Alzheimer’s) and Dolores (paralyzed) – Glenda’s sisters
Boy from Atlanta, and his mother – 1 more week of medical treatment in Arizona
Nicole Schuster, recovering from COVID
Dorothy Randals – at Autumn Blessings, for strength and comfort
Elmer Schuster - leg pain
Ernest (Susie's uncle) - prostate cancer
Fay Birch – stage 4 cancer, grief at loss of husband, Larry
our First Responders - understaffed, many in training
Glenda Coles – shoulder surgery (likely to be on 10/8)
Gloria Martinez (Teresa Gallegos’ sister) – recovering after leg surgery
Hannah Mericle - stroke
Jazzie's mom (friend of Laro) - stroke
Jenna Morris – injured knee, doctor's visit end of the month
Lavone Bond – for good health!
Leroy (Susie's cousin) hospitalized with COVID in Arizona
Lissa – Glenda’s granddaughter (high risk pregnancy)

Lynn Hawkins – still seeking a home closer to her doctor

Odelia Moya - hospitalized with COVID, not doing well

Friends, we had 13 people in church on Sunday! If you're missing it - trust me, we miss you - please give me a call to tell me if I can do anything to help bring you back. Many of us are trying to stay cautious about our health, which is a perfectly understandable reason and a personal choice. If you want to discuss it with me, please call 575-708-0860.

Today, Wednesday and Friday at 10: Exercise, Eat and Pray (sometimes it's just the last two parts)
Tomorrow at noon - Yoga in Fellowship Hall!
Sunday - Church at 11 with Holy Communion
Where's Amy this Week?
Monday - Sabbath - I am probably going to go for a long drive later
I'll be in the office by 9:30 or earlier Tuesday-Thursday until about 12 or 1:00PM
Tuesday-Thursday afternoons, I will have time to do visitation
Friday-Saturday noon - I'll be in Carlsbad for the fall Presbytery Meeting
Yesterday's sermon described a song from the 1971 musical, Godspell. It dawned on me last night that the musical and I both turned 50 this year! I grew up listening to it on the 8-track player when my family had dinner. We listened to music in the home a lot, and I was exposed to many different kinds of music. I didn't realize how lucky I was. I thought all kids grew up like that. Well, above is a link to the song I talked about: "Light of the World." Remember what salt does to our foods? I think that's what God does to us - God brings out the best in us all (or should)!
