Grace and peace be with you, Friends!

I am happy to announce that Elmer had his surgery yesterday and things appear to have gone well.  He is supposed to stay in Amarillo for some observation until today or tomorrow before they let him go home to Tucumcari.  The family thanks you for your prayers.

Other Prayers:
Teachers and families preparing for the start of school
Teresa Gallegos-Brake - still healing from eye surgery
Elmer Schuster - for improved health following his surgery
The Muellers, in their grief for Nancy's dad
Susie Martinez - trouble with seizures
Glenda - both sisters living with health problems and grief
Those affected by fires in California, lava flows in Hawaii, fires and floods in Japan
Rain, as always!

This Sunday is the last Sunday before the Quay County Fair.  The Fair opens on Wednesday afternoon, August 15th and runs through Saturday evening, 9PM.

Attached to this email is Sunday's sermon, called "You Shall Not Die," in which I did a monologue as Bathsheba.  I hope that you will read it and see that despite the way King David treated Bathsheba there is some Good News there.  It is Good News that in God's grace, we are allowed to live with consequences and learn from our choices in life.

Please let us know by replying to this email, or you can call/text your pastor at 575-708-0860.

May God's Spirit shine on you this week.
Love and hugs,
Rev. Amy
