We have an exciting week ahead, as we look ahead to the Quay County Fair. Don't forget to bake your cookies! While you're at the baking, why not set aside a few to enter in the fair? Proceeds from our cookie sales will go toward our ministries, such as the Hunger Fund. We also need your help working the booth, especially on Friday and Saturday, which are the big day. We take the booth down on Saturday at 9PM.
If we consider everything a church does, the entire aim is to be missional. Through your hard work and sweat, First Presbyterian was planted over 100 years ago, as a mission outpost for the gospel to be proclaimed and lived. That's still our purpose. But now there are even more resources, more possibilities as to how to accomplish that purpose.
Here's just a few things happening this week:
Today, Tuesday - High Noon Yoga (bring your mat and a towel if you want), Quay Z Quilters all afternoon
Wednesday 9AM - Exercise, Eat and Pray, 6PM Movie Night "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" (a Wallace and Grommit film)
Thursday thru Saturday - We kick it into high gear with the County Fair. Come out and greet people and represent.
Friday - 9AM - Exercise, Eat and Pray
Sunday Worship and Potluck - Bring your tasty treats and a friend to share with us. We have a special guest, Rev. Buddy Monahan, chaplain to Menaul School, to give us a slide show presentation and update us on Menaul.
Monday - Pastor's Sabbath; 9AM Exercise, Eat and Pray
Hope you have a wonderful and blessed week. In order to get involved with the fair booth, give me a call, or email Kenna McKenzie at [email protected]
Peace be with you,
