Grace and Peace, Ya'll!
Hope this weekend was a very good one for you. I suspect that even though I was out of town, you had an excellent word in worship. Elder Sharon Huffman knows how to bear the Good News of Jesus Christ!
I returned on Sunday afternoon from an adventure in Phoenix, in preparation for my service as a commission at General Assembly next month. I will miss a few Sundays this year as a result of this, in addition to the "usual."
I would like to give a big Congratulations! to Kayla Cherry, who should have brought a tote bag to the Rattler Athletic Banquet last night. She received many awards for volleyball, softball and track, including an award for having the most "Heart" on the volleyball team, and for being an excellent student during the sports seasons. (I might also add that Yvette Peacock and David Beal should get an award for the chicken fried steak dinner, as Del's catered the event!) These banquets are such a fun and wonderful way to see our community at large. And, let's not forget even the smallest word of support for a young person can change their world.
Life might just slow down a little bit this week, and I will be doing a little more work out of the office, from the manse, as I prepare for a visit from my parents this week. They arrive on Friday. I will, however be in the office on Wednesday and Friday, as usual.
So, here's a little run down of this week.
