In two Sundays, we will celebrate one of my favorites in the liturgical calendar, traditionally known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." Already I'm getting excited about it.
I invite you to a little study of this Sunday's Scriptures from a website called "Modern Metanoia." Metanoia is Greek for "repentance," or literally "change of mind." https://modernmetanoia.org/2020/04/13/3rd-sunday-of-easter-a-certainty/
If you missed our online worship, due to the email difficulty, I'll try it again. Here is a hyperlink to it: https://sway.office.com/y3JCPmYVruDa2g8t?ref=Link
I have been collecting some lovely music for inspiration during this time of quarantine. Music, according to our Presbyterian Book of Order, "is a form of prayer." I think that's lovely. As I continue to collect worshipful music, I would love to get your own recommendations, and also capture your singing! Here is a link to the music collection on our YouTube channel: Music For Us It will continue to grow!
In this season of COVID-19, I know that you have needs for prayer, or just to talk. Remember that you can call me, text me, or arrange a visit, if we observe proper health protection. My number is 575-708-0860.
The Church continues under lockdown to foot traffic. Please know that I pop over there about once a day to look out for maintenance needs or signs of break-ins. If you observe any such things as you drive past, please report them to me.
We can also still do good works. We have a wealth of clothing and food if you know anyone who is in need. I can make the proper arrangements for them.
Prayer is the heart of worship (also from the Book of Order) Below is our bulletin prayer list. One update is that Paul Quintana has passed away due to COVID-19. Please pray for his wife Pauline, their family and their extensive circle of friends.
