Dear Friends and Members of First Presbyterian Church:
Blink and March is over. Before we know it, school will be out and we will wonder what happened to spring. Embrace the time God gives to you with thanksgiving.
This week is Holy Week. Click on the "Holy Week" link for an interesting meditation from www.thethoughtfulchristian.com. This week we are hungry for the time to seek newness in our spirituality, but can at times feel "dragged down" by our daily lives. I hope this past Sunday helped us with that feeling.
We had our feet in both worlds: waving the palms and then remembering Jesus' passion for the sin and brokenness of God's world. Between "Lamb of God" as the offertory, special music from the Sometime Singers, and a reading by five members in lieu of a sermon, telling of the trial and crucifixion, I hope we all got something meaningful out of this past Sunday.
Also on that special Sunday we welcomed to the church Kay and Richard Hart, Amber and Donald Varsallona and their daughter Leanna. They are all eager to be full participants in the worship and service our church has going on, so I hope you'll call upon them.
I hope that this is a special week for you. Holy Week is a bittersweet season, filled with pain, desertion and hope for new life. Savor that.
This Sunday, speaking of "savoring," is Holy Communion. We celebrate the Risen Lord, as well as savor the bread and the cup of salvation.
Good Luck to Kayla Cherry at today's track meet in Melrose! And also good luck to our Rattlers baseball team; they play at 4:00PM here in Tucumcari!

Today; Yoga at High Noon, Quay-Z Quilters arrive about 1:00pm
Tomorrow: Exercise, Eat and Pray at 9:00AM, 11:00AM Sometime Singers practice
Friday: Exercise, Eat and Pray at 9:00AM;
Easter Sunday: worship at 11:00AM; Bring a bell to ring, any kind of bell!
