Hope that you enjoyed yesterday's beautiful and non-windy day. It is a small blessing to not have things blowing around quite so much (rain would be an even BIGGER blessing!).
The Session sent around on Sunday a request for information from our congregation. If you missed receiving that, click below on the file to download it, complete it and bring it to church this Sunday. It asks you to:
-update us on your contact information
-tell us your most preferred means of contact (text, email or phone) for news and prayer requests
-tell us anything else the Elders need to know
You may also send this information to us directly at [email protected]. It will help us keep our directory up to date, as well as form a more effective church communication plan.
We enjoyed a delicious potluck supper on Sunday! There happened to be a bounty of corned beef (no surprise there!). We have many talented cooks.
Take note this week:
Today at noon: High Noon Yoga. Bring your mat :)
Friday at 5:30PM in Fellowship Hall: We continue our reading of Mark's Gospel and have some wholesome soup for supper. I think this week we'll have a chicken mushroom soup.
Saturday, March 25th
10AM: Community Health Talk "Probiotics" - Sheryl Gambardella presents us tips and information on the preparation and usage of probiotics to support a healthy lifestyle. It's free! In Fellowship Hall.
Round 6PM: KU Alternative Spring Break group spends the night in our church. Please join me to welcome them in to hear about their experience volunteering in Anthony, NM at the Women's Intercultural Center, which equips women for careers. The kids hit the road the next morning for the long journey back to Lawrence, KS.
Attached is a copy of Sunday's Sermon on the Woman at the Well (John 4), as well as a document detailing important dates as we know them through June. I'm sure more will be added!
Prayers:
Linda, mom to Jess Weeks. Jess has begun cancer treatments. Linda also needs your prayers as she is helping him, and her daughter, who has medical troubles of her own.
Ron - who has been sick.
Kay Hart - broken foot
Ashley McClelland (Dana) - severe back pain - seeking answers/treatment
The Huffmans' kids who have been traveling a lot lately
Eric's uncle, Joe Russell Rivera - kidney failure
We are ever nearing Eastertide. Have you learned something new about God's providence for you during this Lenten season? I'd love to know.
May God bless you and keep you this week.
Make it a great week!
Blessings,
Pastor Amy
