I truly thought yesterday that we might see a tiny bit of rain fall from the sky! We had clouds, at least! Let us hope we get some soon...
Our group was smallish on Sunday. Many of our people seem to be traveling, or they were worn out from the fun birthday party for Mary Rivera on Saturday. We were pleased to welcome as visitors, Chief of Police David Lathrom and his wife, Cindy. It was a pleasure to have them stay for the potluck dinner, especially as we had plenty of enchiladas and rice left from the party.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday! Be prepared to wave your palm leaves. I have been thinking about the last few Palm Sundays we've had. It's too bad we don't have a donkey come down the aisle, or something to look at as we wave our palms at the start. I've been thinking of a few ideas of what to do about that. If only Jesus would walk in and to the front of the church during the opening hymn...
Easter Sunday will also be Holy Communion Sunday! Bring a bell to ring when we proclaim, "He is Risen!"
Bible Study tomorrow night 6-7PM - I'll be calling our "usual people" to see if they're able to come to the Bible Study. If you want to go, please call me at 575-708-0860.

Easter Vigil is the night before Easter morning. What do you do with that time? As a kid, we used to dye eggs. The Ancient Church would hold an evening vigil that would begin with a bonfire and end with a joyful proclamation on the resurrection. I'm thinking about what we might do, one day. We might show the movie "Godspell" this year...
Friends, this week will be a restful one before we get geared up for Holy Week. I'm still seeking musicians to help us with worship on Easter morning. Please let me know if you can make an offering of music!
May this day be one of blessings and fulfillment, as your Lenten season wraps up. Give Marie and Tom a call to let them know you're thinking of them.
See you this week!
Love,
Pastor Amy
