We had 11 in church yesterday. I thank all of you who could come and lift your voices to the Lord. We also celebrated a semi-traditional Holy Communion - thanks to Linda Randals. Yvette McFarland was there too, to get a little orientation to how to prepare it.
After our Congregational Meeting, I plan to do a mini-inservice with any Deacons who need orientation to the communion ware. If you cannot attend in person, I would also like to have someone do a brief video with my cell phone so we can save it and share it for future trainings.
Speaking of the Congregational Meeting, the Elders did NOT approve our annual report as of yet. We will have to reschedule the 2/14/21 Congregational Meeting for a future date. There are several reasons for this. Please hang tight. We will try to give you the required 2 weeks' notice. (this is in the Book of Order) If you had Valentine's Day Plans, then you're off the hook for now! We are looking at possibly the end of February for this meeting.

Did you know? Lent starts on February 17th. That will be Ash Wednesday. I have hopes to do Drive By Ashes again. In the past, I have done it at:
- Our Church
- Public Library
- Donut Shop drive-thru
Where do you think I should go this year? I find that this article about a Protestant's experience of Ash Wednesday is entertaining and fascinating! https://www.tracesoffaith.com/blog/2015/02/thoughts-about-ash-wednesday-from-a-protestant.html Check it out!
Wondering about my personal health and some of the oddities after having COVID, I came across this article from the Mayo Clinic: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-long-term-effects/art-20490351. There can be long-term side effects for persons who have had COVID. If you have any of these, then know that you are not alone! If you need to talk someone, you are certainly free to talk with me.
What prayers do you have recently which have not been listed above?
Friends, I apologize for being later than usual to get this email out to you. May God bless you and keep you today and always.
Love,
