Dear Friends in Christ,
Hope that your Presidents' Day weekend was fun and restful (if you get that day off!).
Let's see what's going on at our church this week-
MWF 10:00AM Exercise, Eat and Pray
Today, Tuesday: Yoga meets at noon in Fellowship Hall, Session Meeting @ 5:00PM
Friday: 5:30PM Game Night Come and Play with us and enjoy some snacks. If you have a favorite game, bring it to share!
We enjoyed a beautiful Valentiney Potluck Dinner on Sunday. Thank you to Deacon Lavone Bond and her crew for hosting us. The decorations were lovely too!
Speaking of Potlucks...did you know that we need hosts for the April and June months? Please consider whether you can do one or both of those Sundays and let me or Kenna know.
Thanks to Kenna McKenzie-Young for publishing the PW booklets for us. They have the potluck schedule, prayer chain and more. If you need one, please let me know.
Prayer Requests:
Sheila Martinez - increasingly serious health problems
Glenda Coles - trouble with her foot and her knee. Knee was damaged from a fall after surgery
Kaylie McKnight and family
Tom Anderson - trouble with chemo side effects
Nancy Sallee - trouble swallowing, spot on thyroid
Christell Terry - home after stroke, going on hospice
Levi Mericle - thyroid cancer
Betty, sister of Glenda's - awaiting cancer test results
Konor - grandson of the Bonds - at sea in Navy
Jenna Morris - knee
Julie Sursa - leg pain
Sharon Huffman - arthritis and other health limitations
Misty Tompkins - stiff person syndrome
Mrs. James (of La Casa Verde nursery) - stroke
Francis - Ryan's grandfather - recently hospitalized
I tried to capture all of the prayers that I could recently. There are so many concerns. Did I miss something? Please let me know if I did.
Guess what? Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, already. I am looking for someone to help me with ashes to dispense somewhere around town where there is a lot of foot traffic. If you would like to work with me for about 2 hours next week, please let me know. I will announce later this week where I plan to be and when.
Wednesday next week is also the fourth Wednesday of the month, which means Dutch Treat Dames time. Where do the "Dames" want to meet this month? Last month it was La Cita.
I have made flyers for our yoga and Exercise, Eat and Pray groups. If you want to pass them around, please print and share!
Hope that your week is off to a wonderful start. May God bless you and keep you today.
Much love,
Amy
