The Lord be with you all!
Our front steps are (as I write you) icy and snowy. I hope that if you pop by the church today you will be very careful, until we see a bit more of it melt away. But at 13 degrees today, melting will be very slow!
We delivered 9 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to the Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon! Thank you to all who put them together. It's a bit tricky since we don't have a K-Mart anymore, but just walking the aisles of the Family Dollar many of us found fun and thoughtful gifts for a child overseas. One of you opted to "adopt" a local child for the holidays and I think that's pretty awesome too!
Speaking of "adopting" the PW made gifts three of our own adopted organizations. We delivered donations this past week to:
Tucumcari Domestic Violence Program (AKA "Hartley House")
CYFD Foster Care - for their children to receive Christmas gifts
Menaul School - our annual gift to the scholarship programs (www.menaulschool.org), a PC(USA) school located in Albuquerque.
This is what the Kingdom of God is about! Going the extra mile and giving our support to where else God's Kingdom is at work!
I will be at the church from noon to about 1:30PM today, then back for our Session Meeting at 5:30PM tonight.
Wednesday at 6:30PM Christmas Cantata Practice at Center Street UMC
Sunday, Nov 18th is our church potluck fellowship. We also have Commissioned Pastor, Wayne Head, as a guest preacher this Sunday! I am sorry to miss, as I'll be traveling home from a conference.

Pastor Amy
