Grace and peace be with you, Friends.
I hope that you received my earlier email about Lavone. It feels like a bright and beautiful light has gone away. We can remember what a blessing she has been to us all. I will miss her kind voice and her hugs. Please keep Keith and all of the family in your prayers.
This past weekend I attended the Fall Presbytery Meeting. It was our first time seeing each other in person since January of 2020! What a true blessing it was to see friends and colleagues in ministry from around the state. Elizabeth Page (Mickey's daughter-in-law) is now a commissioner from Lovington, and she sends everyone greetings. They are now grandparents three times over, now blessed with a little grand daughter! Mike had COVID and it really ran him down. Please hold him in your prayers, as he's had trouble coping with the long term effects on his lungs.

Friends, it seems as though when it rains, it pours. (wish we could get more rain like we did this weekend) In times like these, when we feel like there is so much bad news, it helps to remember that the bad stuff eventually gives way to good things. Isaiah says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of the Lord endures forever." I figure that's good enough. "All things must pass."
I will be contacting some of you this week regarding home communion visits. I hope that your week is off to a blessed start.
This week:
Today, Wednesday and Friday at 10 Exercise, Eat and Pray
Today - Pastor takes a Sabbath
Tomorrow (Tuesday) yoga at noon in Fellowship Hall
Sunday - after worship, Session meets!
I am still working on a way to do a Zoom/in person Bible study for this Wednesday at 6:00PM. If we cannot, I will still be in Fellowship Hall for an in-person conversation. If you want to bring dinner in a sack, please do so! It will involve hearing a couple of songs and reading the lyrics to Godspell and talking about where they are in Scriptures. It should be fun!
Brake for Rotarians! We Rotarians will be let loose this Saturday at the field next to the hospital to pick up trash at 9:30AM. If you would like to be a part of that, you are absolutely invited to help!
Friends, I hope that you make this a great day. Sometimes we've got to just set our minds on that and we can make it happen (with God's help!).
Blessings to you all.
Rev. Amy
