Dear Friends in Christ,
Greetings to all in Jesus' name!
I hope that you all had a good start to your week. I apologize for not sending this message on Monday morning, as per my usual way. I had to leave the house pretty early for an appointment and couldn't get this note out before Green Chile Gals last night.
Last night's gathering was a lot of fun and a blessing to see our little group together again. It reminded me of Psalm 133: "How very good and pleasant it is for kindred to dwell in unity!" How very good and pleasant it is, indeed!
PW Fall Meeting: Small group gatherings will continue to take place, church members and regular attendees only, still. Last night, since a lot of Presbyterian Women were there, we have resolved to see if October 31st would be a good date for us to have a business meeting. Women of the church, please check your calendars and let me know if noon or 1:00PM, October 31st, would be a good day for you to attend.
This week:
MWF- 10:00AM Exercise, Eat and Pray Group
Today, Tuesday at 12:00 - High Noon Yoga in Fellowship Hall
Saturday - Flu Shot Clinic at PMG Clinic, D.C. Trigg Hospital 8AM - till they run out
Sunday - still no potluck dinners yet, but come to church at 11:00!
Don't forget! Daylight Savings Time ends soon. Before you go to bed on Halloween night, move your clocks back an hour. For an interesting history of humanity's attempt to "save daylight," here is a PDF from 2019, National Geographic, on the topic. It's about a 4 minute read.
Prayers:
Tom - home care, trouble with one eye, constant headaches. For him and for Jean.
Kathy Martinez (daughter of Teresa Gallegos-Brake), hospitalized for over a week with COVID
Susie Martinez - still looking for an affordable car
Rain!
Bruce Haas - shingles
Elmer Schuster - spider bite, getting better
Pat Sieglen - recovering from surgery
Glenda Coles
Suzette McFarland - exposure to COVID at work
All healthcare workers and first responders
Students, Teachers, Families
All in leadership positions
Sharon and Wayne - for health and strength
Christie - Dora Maes' daughter, multiple serious health problems
Friends, I do hope that you all have a blessed rest of the week. May there be rain in your future.
Many hugs,
Rev. Amy
