Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Grace and Peace be with you!
We had a small group of 10 for worship. Special thanks to Ron Warnick for helping us to stream the service live to our Facebook page! The service was spare and simple, but I do hope that you received God's Good News. Here is a link to the service online: Click This. You have to have a Facebook account in order to watch it.
The other day, I stood in line with 2 people who are in Rotary Club with me, at the grocery store. We have not had Rotary meetings for a couple of weeks now, due to COVID-19. It was great to chat with them and catch up a little bit. Our connections are what make us a fellowship of friends, just as this happens to be true with our church. Please remember to connect with each other in different ways, if you have trouble doing it in person.
Please remember in prayer:
Sharon
Tom
Kurt Goldston
Glenda - getting used to her foot pain
Gloria (Teresa Brake's sister)
Lorraine (Teresa Brake's daughter)
Lucille (a bad cough)
Ruth Johnson
Those who are separated from loved ones
State of Hawaii, now quarantined (Ryan's family lives there)
Our nation and the world's leaders
Those who have lost their jobs or their hours cut
Business owners attempting to adjust to the new COVID-19 restrictions
Medical professionals
The thousands who are grieving
Those who are ill
Those who are in panic
Please remember the most vulnerable members who are more susceptible to illness.
Worship next Sunday: If you are able to come, please do. If you cannot, no one is going to judge you! We have antibacterial cleansers and plenty of space to sit 6 feet from each other.
We will have Exercise, Eat and Pray this week at 10:00AM, and Yoga tomorrow at noon. These are small groups and we have to take care of our physical health!
Friends, in a world that seems most interested in telling us bad news, please try and remember there is also good news. Good News that we have a Savior who is the wisdom of God in the flesh. There are also stories of heroism and compassion out there, people who are giving up something to help others less fortunate. I would love to hear your stories and the acts of kindness. I have always thought that an antidote for our own fears is to help someone else out.
May the Lord bless you and keep you this week, Friends.
Much love,
Rev. Amy
