Greeting to you all in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ!
I hope we've all survived the wild winds (and allergies) from yesterday. Yesterday, I think we saw a pretty high attendance in church, compared to the last couple of weeks. No worries! With God's help, we should be able to get things fixed sometime during this week, so we are back in the sanctuary next Sunday.
We had a good Session meeting yesterday afternoon. We:
appointed Richard Randals to be chair of the Nominating Committee for 2021 officers.
tabled decision to have outside organizations back to use church buildings (due to concerns for the Governor's changing mandates)
discussed possibility of a second worship service during Christmastide (maybe an "alternative" worship service?) Amy will explore options.
voted against having a traditional White Elephant party this year
planned (but not scheduled yet) a 2021 budget meeting
scheduled next Session meeting December 6th, after church
Thanks to those who prepared Christmas Child Shoeboxes for this year's drive. I have received 11 and will deliver them to Corrine Hayes this morning (she was not available yesterday).

Small business owners trying to stay open, and for Loretta's who had a fire
Friends, it seems like the prayer requests just keep on coming sometimes. Please also know that there are some who have requested prayers but do not wish to be on the prayer list. You may never know who could use a word of comfort or a passing of the peace.
Yesterday's sermon was called "God's Chosen Must Choose." We meditated a little on the things we sometimes choose which turn out to be false gods. Joshua's call to the Israelites was that they finally must make their choice between the living God who brought them out of Egypt and the false gods of the land which they conquered. Hope you find something helpful in it.
May this windy day be filled with the breath of God's very own Holy Spirit! Blessings to you and yours.
Hugs,
Rev. Amy
