Merry Christmas!
Or something like that.
We had a lovely Christmas in August this past Sunday. Special thanks to Mickey Page, Marj McKenzie, Kenna McKenzie-Young, Jenna Morris, and Sharon Huffman for offering your talents in music and reading.
And the message was of God's love and our love for others, embodied in the incarnation of Jesus Christ, who went all the way for us. I'm reminded of a song that says it well too, called, Lord I Lift Your Name on High <<click here to watch on YouTube. We got to express the love immediately by putting out Christmas cards to mail to Lou and Marie, Betty (still out of town), Iola (now in Washington State), Mildred and Bob. I brought them to Mildred and Bob that Sunday and they had big smiles :)
This Sunday I am grateful to Barbara Cherry who will be our preacher while I travel for a long weekend vacation. If you tune into KTNM 1400 Friday night (around 6?) you might hear me as the color commentator for the Rattler game against Escalante!
Please keep in your prayers: Lou, Margie Garcia, Mary Rivera, Mildred, Bob, Jo and Dr. Ray, as well as the new family visiting our church, Kay and Richard Hart and Donald and Amber Barcelona. They are "shopping" for a new church home. Also, I have heard rumors of some upheaval in First Baptist - please hold them in your prayers for unity and peace.
this week:
yoga at noon TODAY
Also TODAY - quilters cover Fellowship Hall this afternoon/evening
W-F-M Exercise Eat and Pray
And tomorrow, WEDNESDAY, "Facing the Giants," about an underdog football team facing their fears. It's an uplifting film and timely for the start of the season! Click here for a trailer.
Don't forget that this Monday is the first Monday of the month, which means Green Chile Gals. We didn't meet in August so we're due. Come to church Sunday to find out where it will be. It's always fun and fellowship.
May the Lord bless you and keep you this week.
Love
Amy
