Well, we have been reminded of our baptisms, in that wonderful (though chilly!) rain. I do hope the aches and pains some of you received along with it have subsided. As for our church on Sunday, if you missed church but wish for me to deliver Communion to you, please tell me!
This is the week of the Rummage Sale! We open our doors on Friday morning at 9:00AM! We could still use some helpers Saturday morning (and a handful for the afternoons). Because of the sale, some other events have been postponed or cancelled. Here's a little rundown of what's happening this week:
Today:
Yoga is cancelled till next week because of the Rummage Sale.
Amy will be in the church from 10-1, then hopes to visit the Sims.
Green Chile Gals has been postponed till NEXT MONDAY
Wednesday:
Exercise, Eat and Pray at 9:00AM in the Exercise Room (behind the kitchen)
Amy has office hours till noon (pastoral care visit at 1:00pm)
Thursday:
Amy goes on the radio at 7:30AM to advertise the sale, then she's out and about the community.
Friday and Saturday:
Rummage Sale! 9AM-3PM
Saturday:
Presbyterian Brotherhood organizational meeting 10AM @Kix on 66
Sunday:
Bible Study @9:30AM in Library
Worship @11:00AM
I hear there are Mothers' Day events around town, including a luncheon at the Elks Lodge. If you don't have somewhere to be, please come back to church to help us pack up leftover sale items for Ministry of HOPE. We could burn a few calories in the process (I sure need it).

-Monday, May 9th at 5:30PM Green Chile Gals Movie Night in Fellowship Hall
-Saturday, May 14th at 10:00AM in Fellowship Hall - Community Health Talk: Pulmonary Health
-Sunday, May 15th is our Third Sunday Potluck after worship, and it is also Pentecost!
-Wednesday, May 25th at noon @Cornerstone Deli - Dutch Treat Dames
As we approach the day we celebrate Mothers everywhere, have you thought of the ways that God is like a loving parent? How about a mother bear fighting for her cubs?
