Hope that this week finds you well.
What a wonderful Sunday we had together - between celebrating Marge's and Kenna's birthdays, with little Clara Rose visiting us for the first time, and even a kitten named Jacob came to visit. Potluck supper was delicious, and we made ourselves at home, taking all the time in the world to just visit after lunch. This is church, when we enjoy each others' company. Wherever 2 or 3 are gathered together in Jesus' name, there He is also.
There IS indeed a kitten to be adopted. I have become the foster mom for him, until I decide whether he can stay. If you have a space in your home for a very friendly little male cat, please let me know. He's mostly white, so Dr. Jean says he should probably not be a barn cat, since he would be easy to spot by a predator.
Adoption is a gift of the heart. This is Jesus' gift to us all. As we recall those famous words of Scripture, "For God so loved the world that He gave us his only begotten Son..." We have been adopted into God's family of Christian people, made brothers and sisters by the gift of Jesus Christ.
So each time we meet whether in the grocery store, the doctor's office or someplace else, recognize each other as fellow brothers and sisters, gifts to one another made possible by the Eternal God who came down to our level as Jesus, and adopted us as His own. Share that good news with all you meet!

Amy
