What a beautiful rain we received last night. I certainly hope you had a chance to get out and enjoy the fresh air.
Quay County Fair Starts in One Week! Our planning for the Quay Co Fair display is on schedule. We're having a little trouble finding some extra hands to help us with setting up and taking down. We especially need 2-3 more people on Tuesday evening from 5-7PM. You don't need to be specially skilled at design, but are needed to help us carry in our supplies, and hold things up while we hang up the display.
Sundays: We had a good little bunch for worship on Sunday, but we hope for more this Sunday. Many have been traveling lately, last minute, before school starts. Blessings and prayers are with our young people who are starting school a week earlier than last year.
Equipping the Saints: 9:30AM Sunday school will be postponed until after the County Fair. Folks are traveling, busy getting ready for fall, etc. I am putting together some documents for those of you who couldn't come to the General Assembly presentation. They will be posted on a new page on our website, but if you wish for a printed copy, please let me know.
Other than the County Fair Planning, it seems that we are sort of laying low for a week or so. But there is still plenty happening! This includes a funeral service for a beloved, former member of our church, Renee Bowen, whose life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 13th in our sanctuary at 2:00PM. Amy is in office till noon (unless she's called away)
6:00PM Fair Planning (banner design) in Fellowship Hall
Thursday:
Amy is out and about in community for visiting, meetings, etc.
Friday:
9:00AM Exercise, Eat and Pray
Amy in Office till noon
1:30PM Amy has a funeral planning meeting
Saturday:
2:00PM Service for Renee Bowen in Sanctuary, followed by interment at Tucumcari Cemetery
Sunday:
9:30AM Sunday School is postponed till after the Fair
Worship at 11:00AM
