Hard to believe the school year has begun and Fall is just around the corner. To end the summer, we had an excellent experience with the Quay County Fair, many thanks to you for making it possible! That includes you cookie bakers too :)
We didn't get a ribbon for our display, but it still looked pretty darn good!
Report from Special Session Meeting:
We held a special called Session meeting after church, just before potluck. Our Elders have determined that we have enough in church funds to replace our Sanctuary roof. We have spent enough on roof repair. Elders agreed that it would be financially prudent to go ahead and get a new Sanctuary roof before winter. The cost for a 50-year-guaranteed, hail-resistant shingled roof will be about $40,100. We examined several options ranging from composite to metal and this one looked like the best value and most attractive. The quote is from Brad Sanders. The work will probably start sometime in October, but we will tell you more specifically once he has scheduled us for the work. God is good.
This week:
Today: Yoga is at noon - we will ease back in with a 20 minute program. Afternoon - I will be getting some medical tests so I will be unavailable for about 1 hour and a half.
Tomorrow: 9:00AM Exercise, Eat and Pray meets. Also tomorrow, the Dutch Treat Dames meet at noon at the Cornerstone Deli. This is a great way to introduce a friend to our church!
Friday and Saturday: Rummage Sale Drop Off Days between 9AM and 3PM. Spread the word!
