Thank you for welcoming your pastor back with open arms. It has been a very long time away (nearly 2 weeks). About 8 days of that I was working as a commissioner on behalf of our presbytery, at the PC(USA) General Assembly. In a couple of weeks I wish to offer another "Brown Bag Lunch and Learn" to provide you with an overview of issues we addressed. This will probably be the fourth Sunday afternoon of July (7/24). There will be some little door prizes.
Sunday was Holy Communion Day. Being a holiday weekend, worship was intimate. I noticed a few teary eyes in church and I wondered what that was about? I will chalk that up to the Spirit. If you have a prayer request or a wish for me to visit you, please contact me! The sermon is attached.
Special thanks to Barbara for her preaching the previous Sunday. Please hold her in your prayers, as she has not been feeling very well.
Another prayer request mentioned Sunday was to hold Anna and Daniel up in prayer. I officiated their wedding on Saturday night at the Randals' Ranch. We pray for a long, joyful and faithful life together!
This week, yours truly is getting back on track, beginning with yoga today at noon in Fellowship Hall.
Today (Tuesday) afternoon, the Quay-Z Quilters return to work.
Tomorrow and Friday, Exercise Eat and Pray gather at 9:00AM.
Mark your calendars for:
July 11th, Green Chile Gals (rescheduled due to the holiday) in Fellowship Hall - Movie night!
July 17th, our next potluck luncheon! Amy is the hostess this month.
I will be in the office on Wednesday and Friday morning till about noon.
This past Sunday's sermon spoke of how God can use the overlooked and oppressed to speak truth to us. Listen for what God is saying to you this week.
Much love,
Pastor Amy
