I drove through Conchas yesterday evening and they had big puddles across Hwy 109. Apparently they got some rain up there! Hope you saw at least some at your houses yesterday...
Here are a few prayer requests which have come up this week:
For Nancy and all the Muellers. Her dad passed yesterday.
For Teresa Gallegos-Brake - eye surgery (second eye will be July 9th)
Travelers
Glenda and her sisters - each going through hard times
Bob Lumpkin, hospice care
Kids getting ready for college and students out for summer
Lucille Andrada - who had an MRI and is hoping for good results
Friends, also let us be mindful of the Cherry Family and Sims Family, for whom the end of July marks two years since we lost Barbara and Lou.
Coming up:
Today at noon, the yoga bunch meets
Tomorrow, the Dutch Treat Dames are meeting. Location To Be Announced, because the Cornerstone will be closed. I'll know more by the end of today!
Saturday - "Walk with a Doc" event at Dunn Park 8AM-9:30AM. Quay County Health Council calls us all out to go for a walk with several of our beloved doctors and nurses from the community. Your pastor will also be there if you want to talk to me too :)
This Sunday - We will welcome a guest preacher, Rev. Patrick Mecham, Sharon Huffman's brother, to the pulpit.
Next week: Session meeting Tuesday, July 10th.
Take Note:
The later half of this week (from Wednesday on), we will see a number of cars coming and going from the church, as the Huffman/Mecham family reunion will be going on Fellowship Hall. Drop in and say hello!
