Good morning to you, Friends in Christ!
"How very good and pleasant it is when kindred dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 131)
That's how I would describe this past Fathers' Day. A Fresh Salad Potluck (with burgers and dogs grilled by Kenna, of course), followed by a pie auction. Amid shouts and laughter in Fellowship Hall, we raised about $210 in pie sales for the church general fund. Then of course, the forks and knives came out! Few pies went home unscathed.
A special thanks to everyone who baked the pies, to those who bought the pies. And a special thanks to Margie McKenzie for stepping into the role as auctioneer. Great job everyone! God was glorified by all.
A few of you commented on the success of the sale, and that next time we could do it bigger, and advertise it on the radio, etc. So let's talk about doing it again
