Can you feel the heat? Yes, things are heating up outside and inside as we get ready for an exciting summer at First Pres!
Here are just a few things we are excited about:
- Dutch Treat Dames meet for lunch tomorrow, Wednesday, 5/25 @ the Cornerstone Deli at noon
- Your pastor is heading for General Assembly in a few weeks (Portland, OR) as a commissioner for our Presbytery (www.sierrablanca.org).
- In July, two of our teens are heading for the Presbyterian Youth Triennium, for the first time in our church's history!
- June 19th (Fathers' Day) is our next Congregational Dinner and the Presbyterian Brotherhood will be grilling for us. (Betty Faye Ragan is hosting that meal).
If only more people knew about the excitement that is happening around this church! Have you invited your neighbors, coworkers and friends?
From the Calendar (click @ bookmark link for more):

I will be taking a few days of vacation over the Memorial Day Weekend. Sunday we will have a guest preacher (Name To Be Announced!)
I have three pastoral care/counseling visits scheduled this week. If you desire a a pastoral visit, please let me know 575-708-0860.
What a wonderful Sunday worship we had! (I am a little biased as my parents were visiting.) But we also enjoyed a visit from Janet Brazelle and her two little girls, Avery and Addie. Hope they come back!
This Memorial Day we remember those who have died saving our lives. Jesus did that very thing for us. But we also remember the millions of men and women who also faced overwhelming dangers and did it for America. What do you do to tell the story? Here is a video about a Vietnam Vet, Bob Reagan, who tells their stories with pencil: https://youtu.be/0htvj2qMtzY
