I do hope that, while I was out of town this weekend, you had a joyful graduation weekend and potluck Sunday with our guest preacher, Patti Dobson, her husband Wayne Head and her dad Tom and wife Della. I am personally grateful that they took the time to travel here and fellowship with you all.
Congratulations to Yvette and Kelly McFarland for gaining a son-in-law, Ryan Penfold! Ryan and Suzette will continue to live in Orlando, FL for the time being as she continues her work as a physical therapist and he in audio/visual installations. We were blessed with beautiful weather and a warm and happy spirit among the crowd of about 95! I was happy and honored to be a part of this special time in their lives.
Also a "Con-gradulations" to Kayla Cherry! She is now a Rattler alum, and has an Associates Degree from Mesalands! Kayla impressed us at the Rattler Athletic Banquet for her numerous extra awards and recognitions in Volleyball, Track, Softball. We will miss her when she goes to college!
Praise God for rain! I hope that everyone receiving this email today got at least a bit of the rain this weekend. It seemed like it just coming and coming last night at the manse.
May has been a hugely successful yet busy time. I hope that your Memorial Day weekend is fun and relaxing. Just a few things happening this week, as we get back on track with our "regularly scheduled program":
Today - back on schedule with yoga at noon, quilters in the afternoon
Tomorrow and Friday - Exercise, Eat and Pray at 9:00AM
Tomorrow, Wednesday - Dutch Treat Dames meet at noon @ the Cornerstone!
Thursday this week - the KU Alternate Breaks students come back to sleep over in the church, on the way home to Lawrence, KS. We will have half the size group we had last week, as the other group is returning a different route.
Also on Thursday at 5:30PM - there is a celebration at the Train Depot recognizing participants in the Quay County Step into Spring fitness challenge. Everyone is invited!
Saturday 3:00PM- Artspace is having a painting party fundraiser, hosted by Martha Stephens. To see if there is still room, call 403-5456. It costs $35 for supplies, etc.
Sunday @11:00AM - Worship God, of course!
Monday - pastor has a Sabbath Day, possibly mowing the lawn too :)
Please hold in prayer:
Mack and Jerrene Bradley McCord - our neighbors to the south of the manse. Mack is having some serious medical issues. They asked that we add them to our prayer list.
Travelers everywhere!
The people of Manchester, after the terror attack on the young people at the concert last night.
Joe Russell Rivera - liver failure - relatively stable right now, thanks be to God.
Ruth Johnson - laryngitis
Suzette and Ryan Penfold - for their new life together
Tom Dobson - on dialysis

Friends, I look forward to seeing you about town this week. If you want me to visit you, please say the word. I intend to catch up with a few of you before week's end.
May the Lord bless you and keep you this week.
