We have had such a full week and weekend, it's hard to believe it's Tuesday already!
We had a blessed Sunday worship, with 34/35 people in attendance! The theme of the service was "To Love Jesus is to Feed His Sheep." (sermon attached)
Speaking of "sheep," as well as dogs and kitties and snakes and cattle, you are called to the church courtyard on Saturday, April 23rd at 10AM, for a service of worship and a "blessing of the animals." We've never done this before but it has been done many times in recent years at other churches as a means of outreach to our community. Come on out, even if you don't have a creature of your own.
This Saturday, I will be spending the day at First Church, Lovington, to offer a workshop at the Presbyterian Women Spring Gathering. Please let me know by Wednesday or Thursday morning whether you want to go with me. I leave at 7AM Saturday.
We have potluck this Sunday! Share the news with those you know.
Please hold in prayer:
Wayne and Sharon
Dr. Jean Corey-Anderson (for patience and her patients)
Wimberley Family - new to town and looking for work
For all the people in our church who prepare taxes - for strength and patience
What are your prayer requests?
Don't forget that we have yoga today at noon,
Tomorrow, Friday and Monday at 9:00AM is Exercise, Eat and Pray
Rawhide Days starts on Friday - you can get your tickets at the Chamber of Commerce
Sunday at 9:30AM is Bible Study in the library. After Potluck we will be putting away the round tables and chairs.
Coming up -
Saturday, April 23rd after the Blessing service, PW meets for their quarterly luncheon meeting in the Fellowship Hall at noon. We will be discussing the Rummage Sale, among other things
Friday/Saturday, April 29-30 I and Betty Ragan will be traveling to Las Cruces for the Spring meeting of the Presbytery of Sierra Blanca.
Friday/Saturday, May 6-7 will be the Spring Rummage Sale. We could use everyone's help setting up, working at and then packing up the items for the sale. Sign up sheets will be at worship this Sunday.
Hope that you make this a great day, everyone. God bless you and keep you, and make he make it rain on you (we need it!)
