Calling all musicians!
If you are a bell ringer, singer or clarinet player and if there is a harpist among you, let us bring it on Easter Sunday. For your information, Easter is in just a couple of weeks away (April 1st). I am also overjoyed that it will be a Communion Sunday. So, I'm collecting musicians who can help us worship the Risen Lord on that day.
Also, remember that Maundy Thursday is a day we observe, with communion and a handwashing ritual. As Jesus washed the feet of His disciples so we will wash your hands. We modern people don't go about barefoot, walking miles in the desert but our hands are very important tools in our life's work. A time on Maundy Thursday will be set very soon, probably 5:30 or 6:00PM. Stay Tuned.
Today at noon, Yoga in Fellowship Hall and then the Quilters will be in there.
Tonight our Elders have a meeting. I will look forward to seeing you in the Library tonight at 5:30PM.
Tomorrow night from 6-7PM we meet for another "Brown Bag Bible Study." We're studying Psalm 144.
Saturday: There is a birthday party for Mary Rivera at our church this Saturday afternoon (March 17th), just in case you're wondering what in the world is going on over there. The party is by invitation, since her family is gi-normous.
Sunday we had repeat visitors, Emily Priddy and Ron Warnick. Both of them are writer-editors. Emily is also a schoolteacher in House. They Love Route 66, which is basically why they moved here, as well as for the sunnier climate.
The New Step into Spring Challenge is coming! The Quay County Fitness and Nutrition Committee is starting to register participants for the 2nd Step into Spring Challenge. Registration begins tomorrow, March 15 and will finish up on Saturday, April 7th. In order to register, you must have your own email address, since that is the unique way you count your steps. I will be one of the online administrators so if you would like to register or have questions, just see me. I'm also looking for teammates! You can walk, jog, bicycle, or any other way that convert into steps towards a prize!
Our last few weeks of worship seem to have been fairly stable attendance (about 29-30 each day). Let's do it again this Sunday, as it is the day for Fellowship Dinner. Bring a friend. Let's ride that wave!
Prayer Requests:
Family of Don Wellborn in their grief

---> we had a great many prayer requests on Sunday. I will get a more complete list to you when I get back to the office.
Fun with Acrylics! The Gallery, Etc. on 2nd street is holding another acrylic painting workshop on Saturday, 3/10 from 10-noon. For $22 you can use their supplies (including a masonite board). Call 461-9908 for more information. If you want, bring a photo of your own for inspiration.
There is so very much going on in Tucumcari. There will be another big community fundraiser this Saturday night for Paws and Claws. You can get tickets from Bob's Budget Pharmacy, the Radio Station and the Chamber of Commerce.
Look for God at work in the world around you today, and become a part of it!
Much love to you,
Pastor Amy
