Grace and Mercy be with you!
Greetings, Friends. Hope that your second full week in Lent is full of blessings. I am attaching this past Sunday's sermon, which was received quite positively. I spoke about what it Jesus might have meant when he speaks of losing one's life for His sake in order to save it. Hope you find something meaningful in it.
Brown Bag Bible Study - Tomorrow at 6PM. If you wish to attend our Lenten study of the Psalms, please let me know. I want at least three of us there so we're not alone at night in that big building, for safety's sake. If we do NOT meet, I will let you know in a separate announcement.
We had visitors and guests on Sunday!
The Jones (who moved here last April from Arizona)
Kathy Grine (who brought Dorothy Randals to church)
June Greenfield (who played piano for us)
Susie and Raymond Martinez - have been attending faithfully for months now. Be sure you greet this kind couple. Raymond is Teresa Gallegos' brother.
This week:
Today be sure you come to yoga! We meet at noon, as usual.
Tomorrow Exercise, Eat and Pray will meet at 9:00AM (Wednesday)
Dutch Treat Dames will meet at the Cornerstone tomorrow (Wednesday) at noon.
Holy Communion Sunday is coming up. Jean Corey-Anderson will be our Deacon for March. Remember, February ends tomorrow!
Prayers:
Teresa Gallegos' son, getting treatment for a blood clot in leg
Mary Rivera - getting second round of treatment for severe hip pain
Many travelers
Summer - Julie Sursa's daughter, for healing after hand surgery
Our area schools, students and teachers, as they prepare to travel to Albuquerque for state playoffs.
Our Veterinary Clinic and Doc Corey - going through some challenging times/shifts
I misspoke on Sunday. I was a week ahead of myself as I thought our teams were traveling this week to Albuquerque. It's actually next week! But, you can watch our THS girls on Friday night squash Rehoboth (from the Four Corners) right here at home. The game should start at 6:00PM.
Don't forget that several of us are selling Lobster Dinner Tickets to raise funds for the Rotary Club Scholarship and Youth Leadership Camp. The dinner is on March 10th!
May this be a blessed day for you all.
Peace and hugs,
Rev. Amy
