This past weekend was very full - between decorating the church on Saturday and holy worship on Sunday. Sunday we prayed for the many Thanksgiving travelers, as well as for Tom Anderson (heading for his 3rd chemo treatment). We also lifted in prayer Yvette, Yvonne, John and the Rockin' Y family, following the kitchen fire.
Please hold Kayla Cherry in your prayers, by the way. She sprained her ankle a couple weeks ago and is still hobbling around. But she managed to help us decorate the church!
Special thanks to you who came and helped decorate: Barbara, Robin, Kayla and Chris, Stephen and Aimee Ross, and Theresa and David Goldston. We had great fun cutting out snowflakes!
Nancy is still gathering names of those who want to sing in the Sometime Singers or play special music during the Christmas Eve Service. Please let her know! ([email protected])
Today, yogis unite in Fellowship Hall at noon sharp!
Tomorrow morning and Friday the Exercise Eat and Pray folks will be there, starting @ 9AM. I'll be in the office till about 12:30 or 1pm on these days.
Wednesday morning I'll be on the radio about 7:30AM to talk about upcoming events in our church.
Thursday I'll be visiting around the community on Thursday (and a little Wednesday afternoon). If you would like a visit from me - either during the day or evening, please call or text me at 575-708-0860.
Thursday evening - I'll be at City Hall to lead the prayer of invocation.
Friday - I'll be @ a lunch meeting with Pastors Mark Lake and Rick Haymaker
Saturday @6PM come to see the Christmas Parade. Our young Leanna will be riding the Head Start float!
Sunday @9:30AM we'll continue our conversation about the surprises of Advent and watch a video called "Hark! Listening for the Surprises of Advent" It's not too late to join in the conversation. Holy Communion will also be celebrated this Sunday! (Deacon Robin Cherry is in charge of preparations)
I do hope your Thanksgiving was joyful and full of gratitude. May your week be so too. God be with you till we meet again.
Love,
Pastor Amy
