Friends, we had a beautiful service of worship this past weekend. Many thanks to all who came! I hear we had about 30 people, maybe more.
This week we gear up for the Cantata. That starts at 7:00PM this Friday, Dec 14th at Center Street United Methodist Church. Get there early so you can be assured a seat! There will be tasty refreshments afterwards.
Musicians: We are gathering names for folks to contribute to music for the month of December, especially for the Christmas Eve service. Please let me or Nancy Mueller know of your musical talents and how you can add to the worship! For more information, text or call me at 575-708-0860. Thank you!
Yoga Today! Today we will have yoga at noon. Come on out for a 30 minute session to wring out that Holiday Stress. All skill levels are welcome. Please bring a mat.
Exercise, Eat and Pray - meets tomorrow at 9:00AM in the church exercise room (behind kitchen). We always have coffee afterwards!
Party Saturday! Saturday at 5:00PM please come out to the White Elephant Christmas Party. Bring an unmarked, wrapped gift, silly or serious - not too expensive, and some light refreshments to share. It's also a good time to bring a friend.
Sunday is Church Fellowship Dinner. Bring a dish to share and see how God multiplies our gifts.
Nominating Committee News: Wayne Huffman is the chair of this year's Nominating Committee. He's on the lookout for persons who are able, willing and interested in serving as Elder or Deacon. You don't have to know how to do it - but you will get some training. Is God calling you to serve? Call or text 575-708-0860 to find out more!
New Member Class - I am getting together a New Member class for Sunday after potluck and will be available to answer questions and teach a little about what to expect upon joining the church. This should last about an hour.
There is always so much happening at First Presbyterian Church! And as the People of God, we have every reason to celebrate, because God has been gracious unto us. Your fellowship surrounds me with reminders of God's grace. Thank you for that gift.
Prayers Needed:
Glenda Coles' newborn grandson, Ian (for healing and thanksgiving)
Travelers
Thanksgiving for Dorothy's brother, who is able to return home
For Dr. Faith, not doing well and his family
For people who are alone during the holidays
Friends, I hope that you make this a great day!
Much love,
Pastor Amy
