"How very good and pleasant it is when kindred dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133)
That's how it felt on Sunday, even though a few of our kindred had to be away from church. Many of our folk are traveling for the holidays; please hold them in your prayers for safety.
Thank you for your kind words, after I managed to bring us through our worship service whilst sick. Since Sunday, that cold has to have morphed from sore throat/squeaky voice to "swamp monster" status, which I hope is progress. But because of that, I think I am going to remain at the manse and rest. With a little rest (plus fruit smoothies, chicken soup and more) I should be well enough to lead us through our service for Marge McKenzie on Saturday and of course "Christ the King" Sunday.
Remember - the service for Marge begins at the cemetery at 10 AM, which means the church service should be around 10:45/11:00AM at the sanctuary.
Robin Cherry is taking names of all those who can contribute some food to the reception afterwards. Please call her/text her or email her at 403-8983 or [email protected]. Thanks! She is looking for side dishes, salads and perhaps desserts to accompany the brisket they have ordered.
Thanks to all who made the Christmas Child Shoeboxes this year! Eric Rivera and I delivered 14 of them to the Methodist Church on Sunday after church dinner. Corinne Hayes informed us that our little contribution put them over the 300 mark! Nice job!
In other news - Remember I was subpoenaed to testify about the break-in at our church? They cancelled the hearing at the last minute and I do not know why. Maybe it was for the best.
This week -
Today - Let's cancel yoga (again!) since I am the swamp monster and it is a holiday week anyways.
Wednesday - Exercise group meets tomorrow at 9:00AM. I hope to be in the office that morning.

Sunday - Worship Christ the King 11:00AM.
