The Lord Be with You!
This is the week after the Rummage Sale. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Folks, thanks to everyone who helped us this past weekend. The Rummage Sale made around $1,500 and some other funds are still coming in. If you still have to pay for something from the sale, please hand your money to Sharon Huffman. Thanks to Marge, who made sure there were people to help.
We had an interesting World Communion Sunday too, with textiles from different parts of the world, decorating the Lord's Table.
This Week:
*As I have company in town, I will not be available to set up for the yoga class, but we will do yoga next Tuesday at noon.
Tonight, Session meets at 5:30 pm in the Library
Tomorrow & Friday, Exercise, Eat and Pray meets at 9:00AM in the Exercise Room.
Tomorrow evening 7:00PM Christmas Cantata Practice @Center Street United Methodist
Saturday @11:00AM at Five-Mile Park, Community-Wide Clean up Day! We will do it again next week too, on October 20th.
Please remember to pray for:
Those who are traveling this week
Those going through transitions
Our Nation
Sue Reid, in rehabilitation
Cindy (last name withheld)
Susie Martinez - seizure control
Operation Christmas Child is here! We are now distributing the shoeboxes and labels so you can begin packing them for Operation Christmas Child. Please pick up your shoebox from the church. We need them back by Sunday, November 11th (Veterans' Day), so there is still time to ship them overseas before Christmas. What to put in your shoebox? Click here for more information.
Friends, as this past week's Sermon stated, let's be soft of heart and open minded to the unexpected ways God speaks to us. And rejoice that God has forgiven you.
Make this a great week.
Love,
Pastor Amy
