Hope last night's rain lifted your spirits. I, for one, am glad I mowed the lawn last night, before the storm came!
This past Sunday was a lovely day of worship and potluck dinner. Thanks to Julie Sursa for hosting dinner and for all who helped clean up. We had a visitor yesterday, who met me during the fair, named John DeWitt. Maybe he'll return.
This week is a slightly busy one.
Session Meeting Time Change: Tonight the Elders have their weekly Session meeting. Please note that we will get started at 5:00PM instead of 5:30PM, to accommodate the fact I need to be elsewhere at 6:45pm.
Fun and Fit Activity: The Quay County Health Council is hosting a "Back to School Quay County on the Move" activity TONIGHT at 7:00PM at the Fitness Complex next door to the THS Auditorium. It's for all the family to get out, walk the loop and participate in the exercise "stations" along the way. I'll be there to lead the stretching part.
Dutch Treat Dames: Tomorrow, Wednesday, at noon, the Dutch Treat Dames are meeting at the Cornerstone Deli. Hope to see you gals there!
As usual, the yoga group meets today at noon in Fellowship Hall. Exercise, Eat and Pray continues to meet M-W-F at 9:00AM.
We have one more Sunday before Holy Communion Sunday, as August is a long month.
Please hold in prayer:
James Rivera (continuing health problems)
Matt Hart (Story) pain
Julie Sursa - sciatic pain
Marie & Laurel Sims - grief
Robin, Kayla and Mike Cherry - grief
Kay David's family in their grief for Kay
Laurie Coates - husband is having medication troubles, brother in hospital awaiting news on dialysis
Jessica Mueller (Nancy and Kevin's daughter-in-law) - expecting a child in February - for good health
Bruce and Peggy White
Rachel Gelman - for healing from infection
It's a long list this time. I'm sure I left someone out. Please let me know if I omitted someone!
Friend, we are grateful for all the help at this past week's County Fair Booth. Congratulations to our church members who won prizes in the competitions!
Hope that your day is a great one. Last week was so topsy-turvy because of the fair, and I have been running on little energy lately. Therefore, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via phone 575-708-0860.
Don't forget to shine the light of God wherever you go today.
Blessings,
Amy
